Turkey is against tensions with its neighboring countries. We seek friendly relations and deepening cooperation with all countries, especially in the region.
As reported by Day.Az, this was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, addressing members of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Justice and Development Party in Ankara.
“We strive to increase the number of Turkey’s friends in the world. The goodwill, determination and sincerity of Ankara’s foreign policy are beyond doubt. Turkey does not reject any of the outstretched hands,” the head of state added.
According to the politician, Turkey’s priority in interstate relations remains common interests and mutual respect: “I am confident that in bilateral relations there is not and cannot be a single obstacle that cannot be overcome.”
The Turkish President recalled that recently Ankara has taken important steps to deepen ties with regional countries and international organizations.
“Turkey intends to further increase steps to expand its ability to maneuver in the face of growing security threats,” Erdogan stated.
