Open heart surgeries for adults continue inside Misurata Medical Center, performed by a visiting medical team from the Arab Republic of Egypt, with a total of 13 surgeries.
This comes in cooperation with the medical staff at the center and under the organization and supervision of the Therapeutic Services Support and Development Agency, as all cases are now subject to medical follow-up until they fully recover.
These operations are being carried out after the resumption and return of the Egyptian team to the centre, organised by the Therapeutic Services Support and Development Agency within the treatment localization project supported by the Government of National Unity.
In the same context, health centers have begun implementing the school health program for new school students in the first year of basic education.
The program includes a health check-up for students (general health, eyes, and teeth), in addition to measuring height and weight, and giving the quadrivalent vaccine. The importance of students receiving the recommended vaccines according to the national vaccination schedule lies in raising immunity and preventing infectious diseases.
