Tax Filing Deadlines Extended: Individuals Have Until August 2 and Companies Until August 9

by time news

Tax declarations for individuals will be extended until August 2, and for legal entities until August 9.

Since the start of the submission process on April 25, 2024, a total of 6,068,600 declarations from individuals have been submitted. Likewise, from May 1, when the submission process for legal entities began, there have been 252,542 tax declarations submitted up to this point.

This number of declarations corresponds to 93.3% of the total tax declarations from individuals and 81.8% of the total tax declarations from legal entities.

Taking into account, on one hand, the fact that the vast majority of declarations have already been submitted, and on the other hand, that there have been some technical problems in the submission system due to the mass submission of declarations from accounting applications in recent days, the deadline for submitting income tax declarations is announced as follows:

  • August 2 for individuals’ declarations,
  • August 9 for legal entities’ declarations.

The extension of the deadline is relatively longer for the additional reason that the submission rate is not as high as that of individuals.

Correspondingly, the deadline for payment of the first installment of tax is also moved to 2/8 for individuals and 9/8 for legal entities. However, the possibility of one-time tax payment with a 3% discount for individuals remains until July 31.

Based on the submission rate of declarations to date, the additional time provided is sufficient for both the remaining declarations to be submitted smoothly and for the fulfillment of other tax obligations.
