Since the beginning of July, the iconic Guatemalan rock band, Bohemia Suburbanahas thrilled his fans with the announcement of the release of a new album. This musical project is being recorded in some of the most legendary studios in Argentina, a country considered the mecca of Latin American rock. Among these studios are UnisonFounded by Gustavo Ceratiy Panda Studioswhere renowned artists such as Michael Bublé, Fito Páez, Chayanne, Soda Stereo and Shakira, among many others, have recorded.

The new album was announced after 32 years of musical career of the band, during which they have left their mark on Latin American rock and have released more than 7 albums. On their social networks, the group expressed their enthusiasm for this new creative stage: “we are happy because this musical journey does not stop and very soon we will be sharing this new creative stage with you.” The release date has not yet been announced, but stay tuned to our publications for details.

The production The new album is in charge of Tweety Gonzaleza prominent Argentine musician and producer. González has worked with some of the most important Latin American rock bands, including Viuda e Hijas de Roque Enroll, Fito Páez and Soda Stereo, bringing his vast experience and talent to this highly anticipated album.

Bohemia Suburbana has left a significant mark on Latin American music, and its influence has been recognized in the prestigious list of The 600 Latin American Records. This list celebrates the richness and diversity of Latin music, spanning productions from Mexico to South America, from 1920 to 2022, and across a variety of musical genres.

Among the Guatemalan artists featured on this list, Bohemia Suburbana ranks 231 with her album A Thousand Words with His Teeths. This includes the iconic song Fish and Iguanasconsidered an anthem of Guatemalan rock and one of the most representative pieces of the group.

32 Years of Musical Legacy

Bohemia Suburbana, currently formed by Giovanni Pinzón, vocalist; Juan Carlos Barrios on guitar and José Pedro Mollinedo on drums, has been a reference in Central American rock for more than three decades. Their talent and perseverance have led them to perform on stages in the United States and Central America, consolidating themselves as one of the most important bands in the region. In 2010, their work was recognized with a nomination for a Latin Grammy in the category of Best Rock Album.

The band was founded in March 1992 in a garage in Guatemala City by a group of young musicians with the desire to create their own music. Their first album, Shadows in the Gardenwas released the following year and since then they have released a total of 11 albums, each contributing to their musical legacy.
