/ US President Joe Biden made a new slip of the tongue when he wanted to talk about a bill in Congress to finance Ukraine, only to make a mistake and declare a bill to finance NATO.

Biden’s remarks to reporters came as he was exiting his motorcade, confusing the facts and calling on Congress to pass legislation to fund NATO.

Under the $95 billion aid package the president has spoken of, $61 billion of that package will go to Ukraine, with the funding coming in the form of military equipment.

In addition to Ukraine, the United States will send foreign and humanitarian aid to Israel, Gaza, and its allies in the Indo-Pacific region, including Taiwan.

“The idea that we would allow NATO to start to break up is completely inconsistent with the idea of the United States of America,” Biden said, noting that “what was sent all the way back to Eisenhower was inconsistent with our word and the troops that we sent.”

“So it’s time for Congress to come home and pass legislation to fund NATO,” the US president added, calling it “critical.”

With this statement, it seems that the president confused NATO with Ukraine, while this new blunder came after a week full of gaffes, amid calls from doctors for Biden to undergo a dementia test.

President Biden’s gaffes have sparked controversy on social media, especially after his comments on Hamas’ response to the proposed deal to release hostages from Gaza.
