DThe Danube Run is part of the Volkslaufcup. Nine races are scheduled in Zwentendorf, and the relay race would be ideal as a corporate race for companies.
The 22nd Zwentendorf Danube Run will take place on Saturday, September 21st. The start and finish are at the Donauhof Zwentendorf on Pappelallee. The award ceremony will also take place there. The flat circuit leads along the Danube and through the center of Zwentendorf. There is something for every age group and every fitness level. Organizer Manfred Bichler is pleased that Günter Fries from Dürnrohr is taking part again. The program includes a kids’ run, four children’s runs, a fun run of 5,286 m, Nordic walking of 5,286 m, the main run of 10,572 m and the relay race.
There are great prizes for the overall winners and the best Zwentendorfers in the main and fun runs. The rankings are divided into age groups and gender. Other special rankings are planned.
The start number distribution takes place on the day of the event from 12 noon until 30 minutes before the start in the Donauhof Zwentendorf. Late registrations are possible on the day of the event up to half an hour before the respective start. The Zwentendorf Danube Run is part of the Volkslaufcup. “Two euros of the entry fee will go to planting trees in the market town of Zwentendorf,” say Mayor Marion Török and initiator Manfred Bichler enthusiastically. There are also overnight accommodations at the Zwentendorf campsite. Online registrations and all further information at www.zwentendorf.at/donaulauf.
