“The Kingdom of Morocco has considerably strengthened its stature on an international scale thanks to an active diplomacy based on the diversification of partnerships,” Ms. Cordero stressed in a statement to MAP on the occasion of the glorious Throne Day.
The resolute approach of Moroccan diplomacy has strengthened cooperation ties with Central and Latin American countries in various priority sectors, she said, noting that the Kingdom is constantly working to strengthen partnerships with countries in different regions of the world and to develop South-South cooperation, considered one of the pillars of its foreign policy.
In this context, she noted that the progress made by Morocco is backed by a global development strategy, the fruits of which are now visible at several levels.
Regarding Moroccan-Mexican relations, Ms. Cordero, currently President of the Justice Commission in the Mexican Senate, welcomed the momentum generated in recent years within the framework of consultation mechanisms on issues of common interest, particularly at the level of executive and legislative institutions, both national and regional.
She considered that cooperation between Mexico and Morocco is called upon to develop further, taking into account the existing potential and the common challenges linked in particular to the effects of climate change and the repercussions of geopolitical tensions in several regions of the world.
The strategic geographical position of the two countries offers enormous potential for strengthening their relations, she concluded.
