Berlin – Caught: A video exclusively available to BILD shows two Hermes messengers stealing valuables from packages to possibly sell them. It doesn’t get any more daring than that!
In the Rewe parking lot on Heerstrasse in Berlin-Spandau on June 5, 2024: Two men sort packages into a white van with a Heuvelland license plate and the inscription “Hermes Partner”.
They scan most of the shipments as usual. But some packages have already been opened! Among other things, a package from the fashion retailer “Asos” and a package from Amazon.

Then the incredible scene: the delivery people take an Xbox Series S in its original packaging (value: 330 euros) from a package! While other packages remain in the trunk, the messengers take the game console and other items to the front. And apparently make things disappear.
Messengers are out of work
When asked, a Hermes spokeswoman confirmed: the two men only started working as deliverers in June, but the service partner “very quickly noticed anomalies in deliveries”.
“Immediate action was taken and the contractual relationship was terminated last month,” the spokesperson said. The spokesperson did not wish to comment on whether Hermes had filed a complaint against the two individuals.
“Hermes Germany transports millions of shipments every week, with the vast majority of parcels and parcels reaching their destination flawlessly and reliably,” the spokesperson said.
If a package doesn’t arrive, customers “generally will not suffer any damages” if a shipment is lost through no fault of their own, according to Hermes.
