BOLZANO. Yesterday morning, Friday 26 July, investigators from the State Police Mobile Squad, following some indications received from citizens regarding suspicious activity near via Cassa di Risparmio, carried out a specific stakeout in the area, with the aim of obtaining confirmation of what had been reported.
In this context, the officers noticed a young man – later identified as KM, 28 year old Albanian citizen recently arrived in Italy but already known to the police forces of other cities – who parked in front of a driveway, then remained in the car, evidently waiting to meet someone.
After a few seconds a woman arrived near the parked car; this one, without greeting the driver, he passed him a pack of cigaretteswhich was returned to her after a few seconds.
Suspicious of these circumstances, the officers, assuming that an exchange of narcotic substances had taken place, stopped the young woman who spontaneously handed over anpackage containing 5 grams of cocaine.
At this point the police also stopped the pusher, still stuck in the car. After having patiently and tenaciously identified theapartment in Europa area where the subject was domiciled, it was decided to subject him to a personal and house search.
In the apartment, carefully hidden inside a plastic panel positioned in the living room, the Narcotics investigators found and seized numerous other heat-sealed packages, identical to the one recovered previously and ready to be sold, all for a total weight of about 1.50 grams of cocainein addition to the sum of 3.000 euroconsidered the proceeds of drug dealing, precision scales and material for cutting and packaging the drug.
Everything was seized and made available to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
At the end of the judicial police proceedings, KM was declared in arrest for drug dealing and detention for the purpose of drug dealing of narcotic substances, while the young woman from Bolzano was reported at liberty for the same crimes
In light of the findings and the previous convictions against him, the Chief of Police of the Province of Bolzano, Paolo Sartori, has ordered KM’s expulsion from the national territory, which will become effective upon his release from prison.
“Drug dealing is a particularly serious crime, not only because of the effects it produces on drug users, but also because of the context in which it finds fertile ground for its spread and for the criminal activity it generates, in terms of degradation, petty crime and consequences on public order and safety,” Police Chief Sartori stressed. “For this reason, prevention and the fight against its spread is one of the priorities for the Police Forces, who are committed daily to ensuring the safety of citizens.”
