The magazine “Echos du Comité Al Qods” highlights 25 years of action in the service of Al Qods and the Palestinian question

Published on the occasion of the Throne Day, this special issue revisits the aspects and dimensions of the constant solidarity of the Kingdom of Morocco with the Palestinian people, in accordance with the values ​​of law, justice and peace specific to all Moroccans and of which the initiatives of the Al Qods Committee are the embodiment under the presidency of HM the King, according to a practical and realistic approach, combining political and diplomatic support, social aid and concrete action.

This 71-page issue covers topics related to the creation, evolution and means of action of the Al-Quds Committee, as well as its roles, achievements and prospects, in addition to testimonies from national and foreign personalities on the Al-Quds Committee, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Houssein Ibrahim Taha, the head of the Diocese of Sebastia of the Greek Orthodox Church, Archbishop Atallah Hanna, the Minister of Al-Quds Affairs in the Palestinian government, Achraf Aouar and the Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Salem Ben Mohammed El Malek.

The publication also includes various topics such as “Bayt Mal Al Quds Acharif Agency, projects and achievements: 25 years of efforts in the service of Al Quds and its people”, “High Palestinian esteem for the positions of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee”, “The speeches of HM the King and the reports of the Al Quds Committee reflect the values ​​of seriousness and commitment” and “The declarations and resolutions of the Islamic Conference emphasize the central role of the Al Quds Committee in defending the Holy City and preserving its religious and civilizational heritage for humanity”.

In the editorial of this issue, the director in charge of the management of the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, writes that “the 25th anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, to the Throne of his glorious ancestors comes at a time when our country is experiencing a remarkable momentum of development, which the population of the country greatly appreciates, and which has not only allowed Morocco to reach new levels of development but also strengthened the influence of the civilization of the Kingdom, a country with ancestral institutions, strong in its history, its glories and the diversity of its tributaries.”

In this editorial entitled “HM King Mohammed VI, symbol of justice, coexistence and peace”, Mr. Cherkaoui said that, based on the commitment of His Majesty the King, Chairman of the Al Qods Committee, in favor of the preservation of the Holy City, being a world civilizational center and a popular place for followers of the three monotheistic religions, the Sovereign does not hesitate to propose the ideas and initiatives necessary to pave the way for dialogue, consolidate opportunities for peace and reject acts of violence.

He also stressed that, in accordance with this constant Royal commitment, the issue of Al-Quds remains at the center of the concerns of His Majesty the King, “until our Palestinian brothers realize their aspirations for the establishment of an independent and viable State, with its legitimate institutions, chosen by this people.”
