The Israeli swimmers continued to record achievements in the college league tonight (Thursday-Friday), with Gal Cohen Gromi, who swims at the University of Michigan, being crowned the Big 10 champion in the 200m individual medley with a personal best of 1: 41.54 minutes. Gromi is doing this already in his first year at colleges and at one of the prestigious championships among college conferences.

Tomer Frenkel, who swims in Indiana, also stood at the top of the podium for the second time in the championship, this time with the Apostles Quartet for the 4×100 mixed, which won gold with a new championship record of 3: 00.95 minutes. Frenkel swam the butterfly in the quartet and set an excellent intermediate time of 44.55 seconds. In the same ointment, two Michigan swimmers Gromi and Nadav Aaronson finished in fourth place, just 35 hundredths of a medal, with Aaronson swimming his back at 47.09 seconds and Gromi the butterfly at 45.13 seconds.

Bar Soloveitchik was also very close to a medal in the 500 freestyle. The Israeli record holder, who swims at the University of Minnesota, set a personal record and a new university record with 4: 13.85 minutes, but lacked eight hundredths to finish in third place and on the podium.

Leah Polonsky, who competes concurrently in the PAC12 Championship where she competes for Cal Berkeley University, finished fourth in the 200 individual medley final with 1: 55.10 minutes, an improvement of more than a second to her personal best.
