jpnn.com – DENPASAR – Millions of honorary workers hope to be able to apply for the 2024 PPPK registration and pass the selection so that their status changes to State Civil Apparatus (ASN).
The Bali Provincial Government has even proposed to the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPANRB) that drivers and cleaning staff at the local provincial government be considered for appointment as Government Employees with Work Agreements or PPPK.
Regional Secretary of Bali Province Dewa Made Indra said that the proposal to appoint PPPK for drivers and cleaning staff who have been working in Bali Provincial Government agencies had been submitted together with other contract or honorary workers.
“That was when the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform issued a circular regarding the registration of contract employees (during the registration of non-ASN/honorary employees, ed.), we had proposed it in January 2022,” he said in Denpasar, Monday (29/7).
However, said Dewa Indra, after being proposed, the data that came out from the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) were only administrative contract workers, while drivers and cleaning services (cleaning staff) and gardeners were not included in the list that would be considered to become PPPK.
Not giving up, the Bali Provincial Government again proposed that contract drivers and cleaning service (CS) workers be appointed as PPPK.
“Therefore, we have proposed again in 2024. Two months ago, we proposed again to the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform to consider the appointment of drivers and cleaning services, especially those with a certain work period,” he said.
However, said Dewa Indra, until now the answer has not come down. Their number reaches hundreds spread across all regional devices.
Ahead of the 2024 PPPK registration, the provincial government is trying to ensure that these three types of honorary workers are also included in the BKN database.
