This meeting was an opportunity to highlight the importance of the CCIS as a lever for economic development and one of the main players in regional development.

It also made it possible to examine the prospects for improving the legal and regulatory framework of regional CCIS, with the aim of strengthening their capacity to boost investments at the regional level.

“This meeting was an opportunity to discuss ways for the CCIS to consolidate their role in supporting the major strategic projects undertaken by Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI,” said Mr. Moucharaf in a statement to the press after the meeting.

Emphasis was also placed on the importance of supporting and assisting the CCIS so that they are able to respond optimally to the expectations of their users, he said.

In a similar statement, the president of the Federation of Moroccan Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Services (FCMCIS), Lhoucine Alioui, indicated that this meeting was an opportunity to discuss a series of subjects related in particular to the prerogatives of the CCIS and their representation on an international scale.
