Russia-Ukraine Crisis: Indians in Ukraine: Air India plans to send planes to evacuate Indians stranded in Ukraine. In the first phase, flights will be sent to the Romanian capital Bucharest on Friday. Two Air India flights will depart from Bucharest on Saturday, officials said. About 20,000 Indians are currently stranded in Ukraine, officials said.

In the coming days, Air India is expected to send flights to neighboring Ukraine. In addition to Romania, there are reports that the plane will be sent to Hungary in the first phase.

India had sent Foreign Ministry teams to the Ukrainian border to assist in the evacuation of Indian citizens.

The teams were sent to Ukraine’s borders with Hungary, Poland, the Slovak Republic and Romania. The details of the groups are as follows:
