“In our country, there is an active law that declares the communist regime as a criminal!
This PMS is a shame and disgrace for the parties, members of the EPP – GERB and SDS, whose representative is the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Glavchev!
Resignation!
Boyko Borisov and Rumen Hristov, if you do not distinguish yourself from your proxy, you are hypocrites!”
This angry post was just published on Facebook by the chairman of the DSB and co-chairman of Democratic Bulgaria Atanas Atanasov.
His fury was caused by today’s decision of the government to offer Georgi Yordanov for the “Stara Planina” order – first degree – the highest state award, for his “great merits in the field of culture and art”.
Atanasov’s indignation is due to the fact that Georgi Yordanov is the last survivor of Todor Zhivkov’s Politburo of the BKP (candidate – member from 1979 to December 1989), deputy prime minister and former minister of culture in the last socialist government. He turned 90 in May, which is the occasion for the order. During socialist times, he was twice awarded with the then highest order “Georgi Dimitrov” and once – with “13 centuries” Bulgaria.
