The sounds of bats and balls resound with intensity in the Saturnino Bengoa Park when the voice of playball is sung at the start of the National Baseball Tournament 2024, which will take place until mid-November and in which four teams fight for the honor of raising the Shopping Center Cup .
The National teams, Agabeisi, Bengoa and Bears, will compete for nine rounds, each team playing a total of 27 games, in a tournament that brings the feeling of big ball back to the renovated national baseball park, remodeled after the Last Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023.
The fights are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00pm, and on Saturdays with a few challenges, from 2:30 in the afternoon. The formal opening ceremonies will take place this Saturday, July 27, after the first match between Nacionales vs Agabeisi (2:30 pm) ends and before the second match between Bears vs Bengoa (6:00 pm) begins. Various people associated with the national sports field and especially with basketball will be present at the ceremony.
After the regular round, the two best teams will play a final playoff of a maximum of five games to define the national champion of the category, in a competition organized by the Salvadoran Baseball Federation (Fedebeis), with great support from the National Institute. of Sports of El Salvador (INDES).
