DPS chairman Delyan Peevski and president Rumen Radev got into another verbal spat on Wednesday.
“You will soon find out who split the DPS. This is Mr. Cash,” announced Peevski. And when asked who he means by “Mr. Cash”, he answered – President Radev. “There is Mr. Cash’s DPS, because the others are pawns, and Peevski’s DPS,” said the chairman of the movement.
In response, the president announced that these were “fantasies” and that he was not involved in conspiracies. “I have long stated that I do not interfere in the internal affairs of any party. That’s why I don’t interfere at all in such manipulations and media smokescreens. When you can’t run your own party and have ambitions to run the whole country, it’s normal to be nervous. This is not a public issue, but a personal drama that is coming to an end,” explained Radev, without specifying what outcome he expects.
However, according to Peevski, the head of state “through his pawns from the DB” also organized a change of the Speaker of the Parliament, Raya Nazaryan, in order to appoint a convenient person as interim prime minister. “The most important thing is that Koprinkov and Uzunov get the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” said the chairman of the DPS.
“A coup is being prepared in the National Assembly against Raya Nazaryan. Check the conversations of Bozhidar Bojanov, he also speaks it in the parliament. He and Hristo Ivanov – I don’t know how, negotiated the replacement of the head of the National Assembly. He is a pensioner. Maybe there are two in Rosenets”, said Peevski significantly. We will see Radev’s small party in the next elections, he added. Through a new minister of e-governance, PP-DB would get a “new ala-bala” and a new minister of the interior.
Bozhidar Bojanov responded with reciprocal accusations against Peevski – Dimitar Glavchev and Kalin Stoyanov were “his ministers”.
This caused a reaction from the interior minister, who recalled how he was first accused of being a man of the president, then of Boyko Borisov and GERB, and now of Peevski. “Tomorrow maybe we will hear that I am with Ivelin Mihailov, the next day with Toshko Yordanov and all other political leaders who are in the parliament”, he ironically said.
