The paddler Shmulik Daniel, a member of the Tel Aviv Warrior House, who trains at the Daniel Rowing Center in Tel Aviv, today won the silver medal at the World Indoor Rowing Championships and set a new Israeli record, after rowing 2,000 meters in a time of 7: 29.1 minutes. Daniel’s coach is Dima Margolin .
Daniel actually paddled online in a simulator that simulates rowing in the river, in front of paddlers from all over the world (each paddler in his country), with his device connected via a computer to the competition management, and on a central screen all participants can be seen simultaneously.
At the end of the competition, Daniel, who is rowing in a single boat, came in sixth at the Tokyo Games: “Today the campaign for Paris 2024 officially began.”
Chairman of the Paralympic Committee, Eli BirnbaumGreeted and said: “Congratulations to Shmulik, who in not simple conditions, without a boat, without a river and without all the experience that accompanies a rowing competition, managed to reach a wonderful result. Champion at sea and on land and we are all proud of him.”
