Hefazte Islam Bangladesh has held a prayer program for the souls of those killed in the violence during the quota reform movement and for the recovery of the injured and for the forgiveness of Palestinian Hamas leader Ismail Haniya.

Amir Shah Muhibbullah Babunagari, Amir Shah Muhibbullah Babunagari of Hefazte Islam, said in a doa mahfil at Jamia Azizul Uloom Chittagong after Asr on Friday (August 2) that the quota movement has now taken the form of demanding justice for the killing of students and mobs. Justice will be established in this country through the blood of martyrs.

He said, we are monitoring the situation. The students’ movement is no longer about quotas, but has become a demand for justice for student murders. Protests and condemnations of such brutal killings have spread beyond the borders of the country and in the international arena as well. The killing of students at the hands of this ruling group is just a far-fetched fantasy. The murders of martyred security guards and madrasa students in Shapla Chattar have not been prosecuted even in the last 10 years. In this case, the government has no problem, no remorse. On the contrary, we have repeatedly witnessed the plight of merciless denial. Therefore, no remedy will come to the murderer by seeking a trial for murder. Justice cannot be established in this country without the destruction of this oppressive power.

Muhibullah Babunagari said, today everyone is united regardless of party affiliation against indiscriminate shootings, mass arrests, disappearances and injustice-oppression and to demand justice for the murder of students. We also have unwavering support. We do not discriminate by blood. Martyrs who died in the fight for justice and against oppression and discrimination. And the blood of martyrs is never wasted. Justice will be established in our national life through the path of their blood, Inshallah. I call upon the student society to move forward with courage.
