The location, the price, the exposure, the amount borrowed or even the credit rating. When you buy real estate, you have a thousand things to think about. And one of them is often forgotten: property taxes. Wrong, because in ten years it has increased on average in France by 26.3% according to the National Union of Real Estate Owners (UNPI), and this weighs heavily on household budgets.
According to a study by the broker Meilleurtaux presented, the property tax now pays 113 euros per month on average in the 32 largest cities in France (compared to 98 euros per year 2020). For a 70 m2 house, financed with a 3.75% loan (without insurance) in 20 years, it is more than an additional monthly credit payment to take out every year for the new owners.
