Chhattarpur: On Friday, four people died after they went down a narrow well inside a house in Kurrah of Gadhimalhara in Chhatarpur district to pick up a hammer. After their death, the bodies of the deceased were brought to the district hospital for postmortem, where a case of inhuman treatment of the bodies has come to light.

The bodies of the deceased were kept in the postmortem house when someone from the district hospital handed them three separate slips. In these slips, they were asked to get the material used in the postmortem from a private medical store, which cost about 3 thousand rupees. After getting the slips, the family got angry and started waiting for the district officials.

Bring the things written in the slip, then post mortem will be done

The family members say that the slips in their hands were given to them by an employee of the district hospital. He said that it contains the material with which postmortem is done. Its cost is about 3 thousand rupees. The family members say that if we have to pay 3 thousand rupees to get the postmortem done, then return the bodies of our deceased relatives to us. We will take them home. We will perform their last rites for 3 thousand rupees.

Narrated his ordeal in front of ADM

Angry family members and relatives exposed the district hospital management in front of ADM Milind Nagdve. Showing the slip, they said that on one hand the bodies of our family members are lying in the post-mortem house and we are being asked to bring the material from a private medical store. On hearing this, the ADM kept the slip with himself and also reprimanded the civil surgeon GL Ahirwar.

However, later Civil Surgeon GL Ahirwar said that we have all the things required for post mortem. We don’t know who gave the slip to the family. There is no such thing.
