Islamabad: A committee of the Senate of Pakistan has said that about 50 percent of the people involved in crimes in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are from their country. Secretary of Overseas Pakistanis Dr. Arshad has said that UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait have complained about the issue of begging and theft by Pakistanis working there. Last year, this committee had given a statement on the problem of a large number of Pakistanis begging abroad. Pakistani YouTuber Suhaib Chaudhary has talked to some people of his country about why the number of beggars and criminals from Pakistan is increasing abroad.
While talking to Suhaib Chaudhary, Abid Mahmood said that Pakistanis go to Gulf countries the most for employment. These countries include countries like Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait. All these countries are fed up with the people of Pakistan. The reason for this is that Pakistanis are going to these countries and committing crimes or begging. He said that this will result in the Gulf countries not giving visas to Pakistanis. If Pakistanis do not get jobs abroad, then the unemployment which is increasing in the country will reach a worse state.
‘Pakistanis have got into the habit of stealing’
Sajid while talking to Suhaib said that there are less opportunities for work in Pakistan. Here people start getting into the habit of stealing from childhood. Now once someone gets into the habit of stealing, he cannot get rid of it. The person from Pakistan who is stealing here, starts doing the same there too. On being asked about the consequences of this, Sajid said that if this continues, then Islamic countries will also ban people from Pakistan.
Mudassar replied to Suhaib’s question that the Gulf countries do not like the people of Pakistan. On the other hand, these countries are more comfortable in giving jobs to the people of our neighbour India. The reason for this is that the people of India are hardworking. The people of India work hard and send their hard-earned money to their homes. Mudassar said that the people of India also go to other countries to work only when they are poor and do not get employment, but they do not think of becoming a millionaire in a month. The people of India work in the Gulf for years and send money to their country and the people of Pakistan think that they should loot and devour the Gulf as soon as they go there.
