Diesel is more expensive this summer than in the past, and gasoline is slightly cheaper. Currently, the average prices of mass fuels in our country, gasoline and diesel, are BGN 2.63 per liter. At the same time last year, gasoline was five cents more expensive and diesel one cent cheaper per liter.
There are no drastic differences in prices compared to the last summer season, but whether there will be an increase in prices or whether prices will remain at current levels depends on the complex political situation in the Near East, the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association points out.
The road from Sofia to the resorts along the southern Black Sea coast in our country, with an average car consumption of 7 percent, will cost drivers almost BGN 74 this year.
As for whether retail prices will increase after the week’s markets reacted to the removal of the leader of Hamas and the complicated political situation in the Middle East, the Oil and Gas Association explained that a big increase is not expected.
“At the moment, I do not expect any price increase. In order for there to be such, there must be a constant trend within 10-14 days, in order to affect the fuel prices in the country”, explained Svetoslav Bechev from the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association to bTV.
With the beginning of August and the big trip comes an increased demand for gasoline and diesel in our country, retailers report.
Anyone who wants to reduce fuel consumption can take advantage of the discounts that many dealers give for loyal customers, the industry reports.
