Chinese authorities will tighten controls on the export of unmanned aerial vehicles and related products from September 1. This was reported by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.
As specified in the statement distributed by the trade department, the new measures are intended to strengthen national security. Suppliers of such products will have to obtain the appropriate permission.
In particular, this concerns engines for drones with a power of over 16 kW and payloads, including infrared and inertial measurement equipment, synthetic aperture radars, target detection lasers. This also applies to special radio equipment and civil unmanned aircraft systems.
Companies exporting drones will have to obtain a special license from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Illegal supplies, as noted, will be stopped by initiating criminal cases.
