The handover of the “Cloud Infrastructures” and the integrated distance learning platform took place in the presence of the president of the university, representatives of the teaching staff and students who are currently in Egypt.

This Moroccan support is part of the support for the efforts made by the Palestinian education system to prepare for the next academic year (2024-2025) in the Gaza Strip, with all that this requires in terms of innovative and sustainable solutions to save the education sector, which, like other sectors, has been completely paralyzed by the current situation.

On this occasion, Moroccan experts presented, with their foreign partners, the characteristics of the new platform and “Cloud Infrastructures” to the university’s software and network engineers present in Cairo, the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Agency said in a statement, noting that these technologies are adapted to the needs of the establishment.

A training workshop was also organized to explain how to transfer data to the new platform and secure it, the same source continued.

This workshop, which was attended by engineers and software specialists from the Gaza Strip via videoconference, also aimed to present new technologies for the secure operation of servers in a sustainable manner, ensuring data backup and providing educational efficiency for courses and exams.

The university administration expects more than 18,000 students, spread across 12 faculties under the university, to benefit from the platform, with the hope that graduates of specialized courses will benefit from the opportunity to continue their studies abroad, within the framework of university exchange agreements.
