The Mexican band Matuteknown for its focus on music of the 80swill be presented in Guatemala this 2024 in a concert which promises to not only bring nostalgia and fun, but also support charitable causes. Formed in 2007, the group is made up of Jorge D’Alessio, Ignacio Izeta, Pepe Sánchez, Irving Regalado, Tana Planter and Paco Morales, who specialize in paying tribute to 80s pop and rock hits, both in English and Spanish.
Matute has managed to capture the essence of 80s music with their interpretations of hits by iconic artists and bands such as Timbiriche, Hombres G, Miguel Mateos and Mecano. Although they specialize in covers, they have released albums and singles that have achieved great popularity, including songs such as Neither you nor anyone, That girl’s curves y Suffers Mamon.
The band’s success has transcended borders, filling stadiums and auditoriums not only in Mexico, but also in countries such as the United States, Colombia, Peru, Spain and, of course, Guatemala. The latter has been a particularly beloved destination for the band, having performed on more than five occasions in Guatemalan lands.
Concert to benefit Guatemalan children
