The US Standard & Poor’s index records a record level exceeding five thousand points

/ The Standard & Poor’s 500 index crossed the 5,000-point threshold on Friday, touching a new record high, after data indicated that the inflation data revision for last year was within the narrowest possible range, which reinforces expectations that the US Federal Reserve will cut interest rates this year.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 5.64 points, or 0.01 percent, to 38,731.97.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 index rose 6.26 points, or 0.13 percent, to 5,004.17 points.

The S&P 500 touched an all-time high of 5,011.62 points before paring gains.

The Nasdaq Composite rose 48.66 points, or 0.31 percent, to 15,842.38 points.

US indices are collectively heading for a weekly rise.
