Legendary Singer Amanda Miguel Victimized by Theft at Medellín Airport but Shines on Stage

“At the airport in Medellín, Colombia, my suitcase was stolen. Oh my! How bad we are, for God’s sake. In 45 years of my career, this has never happened before. Horrible act,” expressed the 68-year-old artist on her social media.

Additionally, during her performance last Friday at the La Macarena Show Center at Plancha Fest, Amanda Miguel recounted what happened with the thieves and stated that to perform she had to buy clothes in the city.

“I’m glad you like it, because what matters most is not the clothes, nor the suitcase. But I had a lot of things in my suitcase, damn it. The immigration people are helping me because it seems they already know who stole it. First time in 45 years this happens to me, oh well, and what I want to say is that life is beautiful. I wore this outfit, but what matters most is my voice,” said the singer on stage in the Naranjal neighborhood, west of Medellín.

This demonstrated the professionalism of the singer, and despite this adversity, on the stage in Medellín, she was able to perform her iconic songs such as “He lied to me”, “Love me once more”, “Doubts”, “We were always two” and “I dreamed I was in Paris”.

As the artist recounted, who also became a Mexican citizen, the authorities are making progress in the investigations regarding those responsible for this criminal act at the airport to capture them and recover the singer’s belongings.

Meanwhile, Amanda Antonia Miguel Samso had to travel without her luggage to Costa Rica, where she performed on Saturday night at Parque Viva in the city of Alajuela, amid applause from her audience and, at least on stage, leaving behind the troubles experienced at Rionegro airport serving Medellín.
