Deadline Set for Former Minister Christos Spirtzis to Address Ethical Committee Amid Allegations

by time news
The final deadline for the former Minister, Christos Spirtzis, to appear before the Ethics Committee on August 23 to provide explanations has been decided by the disciplinary body of Koumoundourou a short while ago.

At the same time, the Ethics Committee of SYRIZA has decided to impose a reprimand for disrespect on the former minister for not attending to provide explanations to the disciplinary body, even though 20 days have passed since the complaint against him was filed by 70 party members, accusing him of “anti-constitutional behavior”.

Sources from Koumoundourou expressed their hope that amidst his television obligations, Mr. Spirtzis would find the time to appear before the SYRIZA body on August 23 and provide the necessary explanations.

It is worth noting that the public presence of Mr. Spirtzis had been the focus of discussion in the Ethics Committee since the previous week, while the former minister responded with a letter to the subpoena from the disciplinary body.
