The new Jeep Meridian model has been introduced for the Indian market. Its production will start soon.

Introducing the Jeep Meridian model for India. Production on the model is expected to begin in May. Once launched, this model will be parked above the Jeep Compass. This model is only available with the diesel engine option. Jeep is selling a similar model in Brazil under the name of Commander.
According to the photos, the new Meridian model looks like a Compass Jeep. It has upright stance, slightly different grille and face. Its wheel design and profile are also different. The new Meridian model is said to be available in single tone and dual tone color options.
The interior also looks similar to that of the Compass model. However, this model has three-tiered seats. It also has a touch screen infotainment and floating display, chrome bezel on the dashboard and center console.
The 2.0-liter diesel engine is also expected to be offered in the new Meridian model, which will be offered in the Jeep Compass and the soon-to-be-launched Trialhawk models. The new Meridian model is to be manufactured in India. About 80 per cent of the equipment and parts used in this model are made in India.
