His parents have demanded that the federal and state governments release a student from Trichy who is trapped in Ukraine.
Sakthivel and Jothilakshmi are a couple from Lower Mullaikudi village near Thiruverumbur in Trichy district. Their 3rd son is Ajith (23). The Sakthivel-Jothilakshmi couple have demanded that Ajit and all his students be brought back to India as Russia is at war with Ukraine.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, they said that Ajith had told them about the war situation there a week ago and that he had spoken with great tension the day before yesterday and that the bomb had exploded here and there, making it impossible for him to leave the hotel.
Sakthivel also said that they were asking for Rs 1 lakh now as the air ticket was Rs 60,000 last week and they did not have that much facility. Therefore, they said that the Central and State Governments should take action to rescue not only Ajith but all the students who have left India and for this the Minister of Education Anbil Mahesh should take action.
