Now Bhopal AIIMS has started working in this direction. He told that the hospital has got SOTTO permission to get organs from dead people. For this, a list of needy patients is being prepared. Help can also be taken from the organ donation committee of Madhya Pradesh government in this work.
Kidney transplant facility is already available
AIIMS Director Dr. Singh said that AIIMS Bhopal is already successfully doing kidney transplant. Now it is going to start liver transplant facility as well. Not only this, the hospital has also purchased modern robots for robotic surgery at a cost of Rs 60 crore. With the opening of AIIMS in Bhopal, health services in the surrounding districts have improved a lot. Dr. Singh said that in the last two years, he has paid special attention to patient care, education and research.
The number of OPD patients has exceeded 10 lakh
The number of patients in OPD has increased from 3.76 lakh to 10.5 lakh. Major operations have increased by 92% and minor operations by 300%. Due to the policy of not refusing any patient in emergency, the number of patients admitted to the hospital has increased by 180%. The number of beneficiaries under Ayushman Yojana has also increased by 250%.
Bhopal AIIMS will be the first hospital of Central India
After the facility of heart and lungs transplant starts, Bhopal AIIMS will be the first such hospital in Central India. Currently, no hospital in Madhya Pradesh has such a facility. Currently, if someone donates heart and lungs, it is sent to other states for transplant.
