Ganja State Philharmonic to Host Concert of Favourite Songs of Famous Composer Arif Melikov
On September 13 at 7:00 PM, a concert in memory of the prominent Azerbaijani composer, teacher, People’s Artist of the USSR and Azerbaijan, laureate of the State Prize of Azerbaijan and the Heydar Aliyev Prize, Academician Arif Melikov (1933 – 2019) will take place at the Ganja State Philharmonic.
As reported by Day.Az, this was announced by the Philharmonic’s press service.
The concert program features a selection of Arif Melikov’s most beloved songs, performed by the chamber orchestra and pop ensemble of the Ganja State Philharmonic. The philharmonic’s soloist will perform Melikov’s compositions including ”Azərbaycan”, ”Güllərim”, “Dənizda ay çimenda”, “Gözlərımin dunyişı”, “Gəl bizim Dağlara”, “İnandım”, “Sən əslisən, MEN Kərəm”, “Şirin kızım”, “Qonaq come to us”, “Dənizə bakhajam”, and “Günêş çalıbli”. Renowned pianist Ulvia Kyazimova will also perform with the cycle “Ötən anlar” and three waltzes from Arifa Melikova’s works.
