In the mid-1960s, Olivia Newton-John dated Australian actor and singer Ian Turpie, her co-star in the 1965 musical film Funny Things Happen Down Under. The relationship ended when the singer returned to England in 1966. She later dated one of her first producers, Bruce Welch, from 1968 to 1972, and British businessman Lee Kramer, from 1973 to 1979.
In 1984, Olivia Newton-John married actor Matt Lattanzi, whom she met on the set of Xanadu in 1980. In 1986, the couple had a daughter, Chloe Rose. The union lasted until 1995. After their divorce, Olivia Newton-John had a romantic involvement with electrician/cameraman Patrick McDermott, who disappeared during a fishing trip in 2005 off the coast of California.
In 2008, the actress remarried, to entrepreneur John Easterling, whom she had known since 1993 (although they were engaged to other people at the time). He remained by her side until the end.
