On Friday, August 9th, the results of the Metropolitan Commission of Public Institutions of Upper Secondary Education (Comipems) 2024 will be published to determine which high school you were assigned to.
With just a few hours until the results are published, you might wonder if a school change can be made in case you do not stay in the one you had chosen as your first option.
However, Comipems and institutions such as the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) have a firm stance on such cases.

In a text from 2023, Comipems stated that ”there are no changes of schools under any circumstances.” Even if you had a higher score, exchanges are not allowed at any institution.
In this regard, Comipems reiterates that you can only enter a school with the official result of the 2024 selection contest, which will be published on August 9.
