Spanish newspaper jpnn.com reports that Real Madrid‘s new signing, Kylian Mbappe, participated in his first training session with his new team in Madrid, Spain, on Wednesday (7/8).
This comes ahead of their upcoming clash in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta on Thursday (15/8) early morning WIB. Mbappe’s presence in training signifies that coach Carlo Ancelotti now has a complete squad at his disposal, as confirmed by the official Real Madrid website in Jakarta on Thursday (8/8).
Previously, Mbappe was absent from Real Madrid’s pre-season tour in the United States due to his vacation following the 2024 European Cup.
Other notable players in Real Madrid’s squad include Dani Carvajal, Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Ferland Mendy.
Despite the complete squad, David Alaba remained on the sidelines due to his recovery from an injury.
The UEFA Super Cup will take place at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland, on Thursday (15/8) with Real Madrid, the reigning Champions League champions, facing Atalanta, the Europa League champions.
Real Madrid has previously lifted the UEFA Super Cup five times, in 2022, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2022.
