Australian Police Arrest Suspected Terrorists Planning Taylor Swift Attacks
Australian police arrested two suspected terrorists on Wednesday, who planned to attack during Taylor Swift’s concerts in Vienna, scheduled for August 8 to 10, and other events in the city. One of the suspects expressed allegiance to the Islamic State, leading to the cancellation of the concerts. Meanwhile, heightened security measures have been implemented in Paris ahead of the Olympic Games to prevent any potential terrorist incidents.
To assess the potential risk, elDiario.es spoke with Hans-Jakob Schindler, founder and director of the Counter Extremism Project (CEP) -based in New York and Berlin- and former head of the UN Security Council’s Sanctions Monitoring Group against the Islamic State (Daesh), Al Qaeda, and the Taliban.
