Former employee of the Federal Drug Control Service sued 8.1 million rubles from the Ministry of Internal Affairs for refusing employment

The Preobrazhensky Court of Moscow ordered the Ministry of Internal Affairs to pay more than 8.1 million rubles. Tatyana Goloshchapova, former head of the department of the Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN). She filed a lawsuit seeking compensation for her refusal to be transferred to work in the police after the dissolution of the Federal Drug Control Service in 2016.

Ms. Goloshchapova asked to recover wages for 62 months – from June 1, 2016 to August 1, 2021. The average salary of the plaintiff for that period was 195 thousand rubles. The court partially satisfied the claim, deciding to pay her money for a shorter period.

“To recover from the MMV RF … monetary allowance for the time of forced absenteeism for the period from June 1, 2016 to October 10, 2019 in the amount of 7,898,247.28 rubles, compensation in accordance with Art. 236 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation in the amount of 229,686.36 rubles, compensation for non-pecuniary damage in the amount of 10,000 rubles,” Alisa Zakutnyaya, press secretary of the court, told TASS.

Tatyana Goloshchapova filed a lawsuit back in 2019. A candidate of philological sciences, an expert in the field of mathematical linguistics, planned to continue working in the police after the abolition of the Federal Drug Control Service, which meant the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, but she did not find work there. The Supreme Court sided with the woman, calling on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to “finally solve personnel issues.”
