USA Advances to Olympic Basketball Final
The United States basketball team, filled with NBA stars, faced a tough challenge in their semifinal matchup against Serbia in the Paris Olympics. Despite trailing by double digits in the fourth quarter, the Americans staged a remarkable comeback to secure a 95-91 victory and advance to the Olympic final.
“Persistence, hard work, dedication,” said LeBron James, the team’s leader. “We knew it would be the toughest match and the biggest challenge of the entire tournament.”
Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, and LeBron James proved instrumental in the victory. Curry contributed 36 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. Embiid scored 19 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. James recorded a triple-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists.
The US team will face France in the final on Saturday. France defeated Germany 73-69 in the other semifinal.
