Rhythmic Gymnastics: Bulgarian Ensemble Starts Strong at Olympics
Three years after their historic triumph in Tokyo, the Bulgarian rhythmic gymnastics ensemble is back on the world stage at the Paris Olympics. Led by coach Vesela Dimitrova, the team is aiming to add another gold medal to their collection.
The Bulgarian girls made their debut in the 5-hoop competition, showcasing a captivating performance and receiving a score of 37,700. Their impressive showing was further solidified in the mixed combination event, where they scored 32.700. With a combined score of 70,400, the team has secured their place in the final and the fight for medals.
Other notable performances in the 5-hoop competition came from Italy, who scored a cosmic 38.200, and France, who received a fantastic score of 36.600.
The competition continued with the 3-lane and 2-ball mixed games, with Ukraine and France showcasing strong performances.
Finalists Advance to the Big Dance
The top 8 ensembles after the preliminary rounds have secured their place in the final, which will take place on August 10 at 3 p.m. The Bulgarian ensemble will be hoping to build on their strong performance and claim another Olympic title.
