New Zealand were 157 for five at the end of the second day’s play of the second Test against South Africa, trailing by 207 runs in the first innings.

The second Test between New Zealand and South Africa began on Friday. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first.

At the end of the first day’s play, the South African team had scored 238 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Wander Doosan was unbeaten on 13 and Temba Bauma on 22.

On the second day, the South African players did not lose much. However, Marco Jansen and Keshav Maharaj added 62 runs for the ninth wicket.

Maharaj was dismissed for 36 runs. Jansen scored 37 not out until the end.

South Africa were bowled out for 364 in the first innings.
