Dachser Conducts Tests with 100% Electric Truck in ‍Malaga

Within the ⁣framework of the “City Distribution” strategic project for sustainable urban distribution, Dachser, a leading logistics operator, has ⁢developed​ the DACHSER Emission Free Delivery model. This model aims to ‌achieve local zero emission⁢ delivery ⁤in certain urban areas ‌across Europe.

Test Operations in Malaga

To prepare and evaluate the model’s effectiveness, Dachser’s delegation⁢ in Malaga has⁢ started test operations ⁤with a 100% electric truck over two weeks. The tests involved simulating real traffic situations and analyzing‌ the behavior of the truck‌ under various criteria, including:

Different weights and loads
Different days and times
Changing ⁣routes and number ‍of stops
Battery recharging ⁢during ‌routes, with and without air conditioning

Implementation in Malaga

The launch of the DACHSER Emission‍ Free Delivery model ⁣in Malaga is scheduled for 2025. The selected⁢ 7.5-ton vehicle‌ has a range of up⁣ to ⁢230 kilometers. Additionally, ⁣Dachser Malaga will have its own charging station to fully charge the electric vehicle in a maximum of 5 hours.

Previous Initiatives in Malaga

In 2015, Dachser already⁤ put⁤ into​ circulation a small 100% electric vehicle in Malaga as part of the “Ecological Distribution in the ‌City ⁣Center” project.
