The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has issued instructions to its leaders, activists, and members to refrain from allowing any representatives of other political parties, activists, or non-political individuals to participate in party activities until further notice.
This decision was announced in a statement signed by Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP, on Thursday night. The statement clarified that this directive applies to all levels of the party, including ward and national committees, as well as affiliated organizations.
The statement further instructs all BNP members and affiliates to adhere to this decision and prohibits the use of party resources by anyone engaging in criminal activities.
Additionally, BNP announced a prayer program to commemorate the victims of the anti-discrimination movement and pray for the recovery of those injured. These prayers will be held in mosques across the country following the Friday prayers on August 9th.
