Power Outage Affects Over 300,000 Customers⁤ in Metropolitan Region

August⁣ 9, 2024, 7:14 PM – Electricity ⁣provider ​Enel reported a widespread power outage affecting ‌over 300,000 customers in the Metropolitan Region.⁣ The outage is concentrated in ⁢the municipalities of Quilicura, Lampa, Pudahuel, Recoleta, and Maipú.

According to Enel, a total of 304,283 users remain without electricity following ⁤the outage⁤ caused by a‌ frontal system affecting central and ⁢southern areas of ⁣the country. The company is deploying technical ​teams to restore‍ power as quickly‍ as ⁤possible.

Enel ‍emphasized that they are prioritizing attention to electricity-dependent customers and have ⁣activated over 200 teams⁣ to⁣ handle cases and expedite the restoration process. ‌Customers registered⁤ as⁤ electro-dependent have access to preferential telephone support ‍for​ generator set installation.

The company stated that they⁣ are working to‌ maintain operational capacity and ‌strengthen customer service channels until power is ⁢restored to ‍all customers.
