The bodies of two minors were found after they apparently drowned in a lagoon located near Rancho La Herradura, in Tijuana, Baja California.
Police reports indicate that the deceased are Alexander ‘N’ (13 years old) and Eduardo ‘N’ (16 years old), who entered the body of water during the afternoon of last Monday, August 5th, and were reported missing since then.
After filing a missing persons report, rescue teams searched the area until last Tuesday August 6th that both teenagers were found lifeless.
Lifeguards from the Tijuana Fire Department’s Water Rescue Division rescued the bodies at around 9:45 a.m.
The lagoon where they were found is private property; however, it is believed that they were able to access the water through a hole in the fence that borders the body of water, a practice that, according to neighbors, is common for taking a dip.
The area was guarded by elements of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) to carry out the corresponding tasks, while the Forensic Medical Service transferred the bodies to determine the exact causes of death.
