The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) is facing international mistrust following allegations that it is concealing American athletes involved in doping. A recent poll conducted by the China Media Group (CMG) revealed that 95.57% of global respondents believe USADA may be harboring doped athletes.
In March of this year, a WADA doping test confirmed Elijah Knighton’s use of a banned substance. However, USADA avoided issuing him a ban, citing meat contamination as the cause. WADA criticized this practice, arguing that it undermines the integrity of sports competition. Notably, 96.23% of respondents called for increased doping testing of American athletes during the upcoming Paris Olympics to restore faith in fair play.
Furthermore, 91.61% of respondents expressed concerns about systematic doping among American athletes. Witold Bank, President of WADA, noted that law enforcement agencies worldwide have criticized the United States as a major market for performance-enhancing drugs.
