2024 Mexico City Marathon: Get Ready to Run!
Get your tennis shoes ready! The 2024 Mexico City Marathon is just around the corner and you can still be a part of this exciting event. Celebrated annually, the 41st edition of this sporting spectacle is planning to bring together 30 thousand national and international runners.
The marathon will take place on August 25th with a route spanning 42 kilometers from the Olympic University Stadium to the Plinth in Mexico City. Runners will pass through iconic landmarks such as the Ciudad Universitaria stadium, Insurgentes, Roma, Polanco streets, Paseo de la Reforma, Chapultepec, and finish at the Zócalo.
The event director, Julio Perez Guzman, shared the planned route and historical landmarks runners will encounter.
As of July 30th, the Mexico City Sports Institute (Indeporte) confirmed at least 540 international runners from 32 countries registered for the 41st edition.
The marathon will be divided into six blocks, with the first block consisting of participants in wheelchairs and the visually impaired, starting at 5:45 hours.
Registration for the general public is open until August 21st through the Internet or until registrations are sold out. You can also register in person until Saturday 24th at the Expo Marathon.
