Entry into force on August 28 of the visa exemption agreement between Morocco and Azerbaijan
Baku – The Moroccan Embassy in Azerbaijan announced on Friday the official entry into force, from August 28, of the visa exemption agreement for holders of ordinary passports.
“As of this date, Azerbaijani nationals will be able to travel to Morocco without a visa for stays of up to 90 days, provided that their passports are valid for at least 180 days from the date of entry,” according to a statement from the Kingdom’s diplomatic representation in Baku.
Similarly, Moroccan nationals will benefit from the same visa-free stay privileges during their visits to Azerbaijan, the same source added.
This visa exemption should significantly boost tourist and commercial exchanges between Morocco and Azerbaijan, notes the Kingdom’s embassy, noting that August 28 also marks the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Rabat and Baku.
The implementation of this visa exemption regime on this date reflects the mutual commitment to deepen the fraternal ties that unite the two countries, the statement concluded.
