## Today, Thursday, the Presidential Council Discusses Political Developments with US Special Envoy
Today, Thursday, the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, discussed with the US Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, the latest political, economic and security developments, and advancing the political process.
The meeting, held at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli, focused on Al-Menfi’s efforts to communicate with all parties with the aim of reaching the elections that all Libyans aspire to, according to the media office of the Presidential Council.
The discussion also covered the need to work with a clear financial mechanism to monitor and rationalize spending, increase disclosure and transparency, while emphasizing adherence to national sovereignty in managing resources.
Norland emphasized that “The exiled President and the Presidential Council remain committed to rebuilding stability in the region and restoring momentum to a credible and widely accepted political process.”
