Marathon for All: A Unique Challenge with a Lucky Draw
August 10, 2024 – This Saturday, 20,024 runners will embark on the ”Marathon for All,” a unique event in Paris. Runners from across the globe will gather at city hall at 9pm to tackle this extraordinary challenge.
Since the Paris Olympic Games, many have dreamed of becoming Olympic gold medalists. Some have even dared to participate in the famous “Marathon for All.” To join this event, participants must be over 20 years old, possess a medical certificate, and have exceptional athletic abilities. Additionally, the organizers have implemented various challenges, quizzes, and games to further select the participants.
A Question of Luck?
Despite the organizers’ claims that the event is open to everyone, the reality paints a different picture. Many hopeful runners have shared their struggles in obtaining a coveted bib. One participant even described the process as “not organized at all,” highlighting the significant role of luck in the selection process.
The Lucky Winners
The marathon will feature runners from 127 countries, with 50% women and 50% men. Notably, 85-year-old Barbara Humbert will be the oldest participant in the history of the Olympic Games.

Those who do not meet the physical requirements or who are simply unable to participate can still be a part of this unique moment. The spectator areas will be open to all, allowing people to cheer on the runners as they navigate the nine regions of Paris. Live tracking will also be available on the “Marathon Pour Tous” website.
